La edad legal para conducir en el Reino Unido es de 17 años, pero puede solicitarla mientras tenga 16 años. Si tiene 14 años, puede conducir con algunas restricciones, conduciendo con una licencia de aprendizaje.  Un adolescente de 13 años también puede conducir dentro de una propiedad privada, pero no se puede viajar por la vía pública.  El examen de conducir cuesta 62 euros para un vehículo ligero, y para un camión, autobús y automóvil los costos serán diferentes de un vehículo a otro. También debe llevar un permiso de conducir internacional válido en el Reino Unido y debe tener una licencia de conducir internacional. Debe llevar todos los documentos necesarios, pasaportes, pasaportes antiguos, etc.

Los cinturones de seguridad son imprescindibles en el Reino Unido. Debe usar el cinturón de seguridad o puede recibir una multa de 100 euros. Si viaja sin cinturón de seguridad con niños menores de 14 años, recibirá 500 euros de penalización. No debe usar el cinturón de seguridad debajo del brazo.
